My hot water is brown. The cold is clear. What is it and what do I do?

You need to drain your water heater. (You'll need a water hose.) Here's one site w/instructions: How to Drain a Water Heater | eHow.com (Or you can Google "how to drain a water heater" for others). It's really easy.

I was watching danny lipford the other day and he suggests draining the hot water heater periodically. All you have to do it attach a water hose to the bottom of the water heater and let it drain out into your floor drain or sump pump hole. Be careful you can get burnt. Also might be a good idea to turn off the heater, drain then refill and then turn it back on.
