    Cycle was 9 Days late
Hi I am new to this, I am 25 yrs old and I have a 5yr old son. Me and my husband have been trying for about 2 years now since we lost our second child. My monthly was last on Nov. 26, 2007 and it was suppose to start again on Dec 24 , 2007 but I did not see any thing until Jan 3 , 2008 it started light then it got heavy. But this AM it was brownish and there was no red to be seen. Could I been P I hope so. But I am scared to take a test because there have been so many negative before.

    NowWhat
Normally, brown blood is just old blood. This happens to me every month at the end of my period. I have talked with my dr. about it and she said it is normal.

I would say you are probably not pregnant right now. Being late can be caused by a number of things such as stress.

How long does your period last?

Well, if the bleeding stops, then you could try taking a test and see what happens.

I don't know if you are pregnant or not, but anything is possible.

Implantation bleeding has not been proven by medical science. Actually, think about it this way... Something so microscopic implanting and causing bleeding?

What many women consider implantation bleeding is actually something more like a pseudo period. By that I mean that the levels of the hCG hormone are not yet high enough when the period is supposed to start, but there is enough there, that bleeding is lesser in amount than a normal period, yet the woman is pregnant. So, if you are pregnant, it would be very early on.

These strange periods can happen to us for many reasons... weight loss or gain, stress, illness, or just mother nature playing a cruel joke. LOL

Unfortunately, you are now playing the waiting game. If your period does not start in the next week or so, test using first morning urine. If that is negative, wait until you're due for your next period, if you miss it, test again.
