Tight swollen feeling all over my body
Ugh. For the last few days, I've had this weird, uncomfortable feeling that my skin is too tight or that I'm all swollen. My feet and legs feel as if I'm wearing very tight socks, even when they are bare. My hands feel very tight and swollen when I clench them. My arms and legs feel heavy and it feels like I have extra-hard muscles. Even my face and eyes feel tight and swollen. However, I haven't gained any weight. I am almost 13 weeks pregnant and I'm wondering if that has anything to do with it? Anyway it's most uncomfortable... stretching, exercising and massage doesn't seem to help either. Any ideas?

Do you have pitting edema, or swelling like if you push you finger in to your leg, does it leave an indentation? Did you call your doctor and tell them this, I would question them on it.

    Tightness
    Hi, orange,
Please call your doctor. It might be normal, then again might not be. Maybe someone with experience with this will answer you.

I don't have that pitting edema lilfyre, but both you and fred are right, I should see the doctor. I'm going to tomorrow and I'll let you know what I find out.

    Thanks for the posts!

Hmm that haven't had that but it sounds very familiar as some paitients I worked with had that. You can get swoll up during pregnancy too. Ive seen people get it really bad.

Ugh I hope it's not something that's going to stick around for the rest of my pregnancy... grossss... :(

Anyway, I see the doctor today so hopefully he can recommend something.

    Blah...
Sorry I forgot to update you guys earlier today...

Anyway the doctor is not sure what's wrong with me, but thinks that I might be showing the early signs of pre-emclampsia, because my blood pressure is already elevated slightly since I found out I was pregnant. So that sucks, if it's true! My friend had that and it was awful. But it's not for sure yet, he's going to do some more tests, so cross your fingers!
