Can he sell the house if the deeds in his name
I want to buy a propery in Florida from a man who is going through a divorce. He bought the house when he was single and only his name is on the deed. He got married later and now is going through a divorce.
1. Can he sell me the house?
2. His wife is still living in the house with her family. If he can sell it to me, can I get them out of the house while the divorce is in progress?

If the husband bought the house before they were married and the wife's name was never added on, he can sell it when ever he wants. And as soon as the deal goes through, everyone residing in the home has to be out before your move in date.
