Hello I was wondering if anyone could tell me whether my mouse is pregnant or not, I will tell you what happened.
1. I put them in the same cage to see if they would like each other.
2.They ran around the cage like mad things.
3. The female started squeaking.
4. The female stood still.
5. The male went up to her for a few seconds.
6. They started running round again.
7. I put them back in their cage after a minute.

Does anyone know if my female is pregnant or not?

The gestation period for a mouse is about 20 days. So you don't have long to wait. Other than performing a pregnancy test I don't see how you can be sure.

How can I perform a pregnancy test?

I will post a picture of the mouse and someone can tell me whether she is pregnant or not.
p.s. I let them run in a cage together on 27th December 2007.

I wouldn't have a clue how to perform a pregnancy test on a mouse. I also doubt if attaching a picture would help. I doubt if anyone could tell from looking whether a mouse is pregnant or not. One clue might be that her nipples become more obvious. But really, you have only a couple of weeks to wait.

Okay, she is just making a nest with bedding, sawdust and toilet roll tube shreddings, she is muck fatter than usual and because I let them see each other for a little while I thought that this might be true.

Vet... making a nest does not mean anything with mice. My daughter has kept mice since she was 4 and her mice always made nest... even the boys. We never let them have babies. It is to easy for them to breed and become overpopulated. I took about 50 to the pet store for a young neighbor boy, after his irresponsible drug addicted mom let that happen. The child was over come with anixety and the responiblity of having so many to care for. So just beware.

We have a vet almost across the road from us so it would be easy to ask for a pregnancy test. I will try and put other pictures of my mouse in.

Before I had kids, I bought four little mice from the pet store. All four were supposed to be female. One wasn't. Before I knew it, I had 52 mice.

There is no pregnancy test for a mouse. There is no way to tell if a mouse is pregnant except by watching her get rounder as the days go by.

If she does produce babies, please please please do not put the father in the same cage as the mother and babies. He will bite and kill the babies and will get the female pregnant again REAL FAST!!

The babies look like pink PlayDoh. They are blind at birth and hairless. They open their eyes about a week or so after birth. The hair starts growing too. Once their eyes are open and they have hair, they are as cute as a button.

Separate the males from the females when the mother has weaned them. Otherwise...

They live in separate cages, I just put her with him one time to see if they would get along, and if they got along I would have asked my Mum if I could breed them once, I have been one a few websites and found out she could be pregnant and my Mum is not bothered at all, I just came here to find out if anyone might be able to tell me for sure. I will put in a few more pics.

Again, there are not pregnancy tests for mice. You will just have to wait a few more days and see if she delivers.

Okay, I just kind of hoped that some person out there might tell me if they know if it could be possible, just look at the pics and read the intro to this topic and tell me if it is possible! Please?

It's possible that she is, but it's also possible that she is not. We can see her in person, so we can't tell. Just wait a few more days.

27th of December

By three weeks after Dec 27, you might have six-eight more mice.
