*Hepatocellular carcinoma
*Hyperthyroidisim
*Obstructive liver disease
*Pancreatitis
*Kidney transplant
or
*Significant alcohol ingestion
An increase in ALP (Alkaline Phosphatase) can occur in:
*Aplastic leukemia
*Chronic inflammation
*Down syndrome
*Hairy cell lukemia
*Hodgkin's Disease
*Lukemia (acute and chronic lymphoblastic)
*Myelofibrosis with myeloid metaplasia

OR

I don't see a corrolation between the two tests, I would need more info than these two tests to go on. However, there are medications that can cause abnormal increase in these two lab values, such as acetominophen and steroids just to name 2.
Are you on any medications? Were other lab tests performed that you have the results of? A WBC (white blood count) would be helpful, as would a BUN and Creatinine.
As my doctor+also my consultant have never even asked me if I drink alcohol I assume it is not significant-doctor said this is not drug related but is due to surgery.when these 2 enzymes are raised I think it is due to cholystasis-does anyone know if this is correct?alt is sometimes marginaly raised.
