Hi, I am in the process of paying off my old debts. I have one that is in collection they agreed to me paying 50.00 a month over the phone I asked for something in writing and never received the letter. I have since sent them 2 letters and nothing yet. They have even stopped calling me and when I call they leave on hold. How can I settle this debt if they won't cooperate?

You basically can't with them, have you contacted the original company you owed the money to, you may be able to make a deal with them. Unless they sold the debt, it is them that you actually owe the money to anyway.
