I have 2 female mice and one male, the females live in one cage and are almost 10 months old, the male lives in a separate cage and is 1 year old in 10 days. I let one female meet the male once, however after a minute she started squeaking loudly so I immedeatly put her back in her own cage and put the male back in his, I tried allowing them to meet once more but had the same result, I was wondering if anyone could tell me what they think it means. I am slightly worried about the female (Milkshake) and I am wondering if it is anything to do with Minty (my male mouse) the other mouse (Malteser) is fine though. I am just confused.:confused:

Are they wanting to fight when they squeak? If not it could lead to baby mice.
You are better off to keep them separate either way.

Well they have never hurt each other but the second time was only recently and Milkshake (the female mouse) has been looking awfully fat lately.
