What can I feed my 9 month old daughter?
I was wondering if I can give my 9 month old regular vitamin d milk instead of formula?

My daughter is 9 month old also and at our last Dr. appointment I asked her Dr. If I could give her regular milk or maybe even the next step lipil and she told me that she prefers baby's to with formula for a whole year. Hope that helps!:)

As tessylynn said, the recommendation is to stick with formula for the first year, at least. It will depend on where you live as to what is suggested however.

Nothing special happens when they turn a year old, but we know most babies' digestive system is developed enough to better handle regular milk by that time.

If, however, your daughter is not eating a varied diet by 12 months, it would be even better for her to remain on formula a bit longer to insure she is getting an adequate combination of fats, calories, and nutrients.

I asked something of the same thing when my son was under 1 year old and I was told that he should remain on formula until over 1 year, but continue with meals and fruit etc.
