    Medical case
Who should be at fault and how should I go about resolving this matter? I had my some in Nov of 04. I applied for his medicaid number. When he went to his first doctors visit the doctors office told me to put on his new patient forms arkids applied and circle it. I did this and I was also told that it takes them awhile to get numbers. Within two weeks I receive papers from my insurance stating that the Pediatric clinic was trying to bill them for my son. In the mean time I ended up filling out at two applications for medicaid for my son. Every time I would call to get a follow up on his case I got the run around saying that the worker has 3months to issue a number. In the meantime I received a summons from the pediatric clinic concerning the case this is in August of this year. I didn't know what to do so I just went online and went to out state site and found an e-mail of someone dealing with the medicaid. It just so happen she was the person I needed to get the job done. She responed with in a day and gave me my sons number that day. She stated that she was told by the local dhs office that someone had attempted to enter my sons information twice. She also gave me his number and said that it was back dated to the day he was born and to call everyone that my son had a bill with and give them his number. I did that. I received a call at my job from the creditor for the pediatric clinic wanting me to make payment arrangements. I told him that that bill had been taken care of. I got off the phone with him and called the pediatric clinic and they informed me that they would call and let them know it was paid. Well in Nov of this year I get paper where they are garnishing my payroll check for the amount already paid by medicaid. I called the pediatric clinic and was told yes it has been paid I'll call them right now, I stayed on the line she came back and said that I would have to pay the court cost which was close to $200 and then gave me the number of the creditors. I was then told by the creditors that it would have to go back to court. They are still taking money out of my check and have never sent anythingt to my job letting them know that bill was paid. Close to $500 has been garnished so far. Is this right? Shouldn't my job's payroll dept be contacted and given notice that the amount is wrong?

If you have paid all you owe then they shouldn't be taking any more money from you and they ought to pay you back all the money they over drew from you or maybe I should say stole from you. Yes someone from there needs to tell your payroll department about that.

    Garnishing wages
    Hi,
This is just another one of those "horror" stories involving healthcare, medicade, and getting caught in the middle of it.
I am so sorry to read this, and sorry you are in the middle. I would definitely talk with someone in your payroll department, and even the Supervisor in your particular job.
If no one at work can help you get this resolved, you might consider talking with a lawyer, one who is experienced in healthcare issues. Ask the cost first!
You need a lawyer to go to court with you.
I do wish you the best, and Happy New Year!
