Squealing from dryer on kenmore laundry center 417.99190110
    Hello,

I am having an intermittent squealing/squeaking from the dryer on a Kenmore laundry center dryer 417.99190110. Does any one have any ideas? Where can I find a free (I know I'm cheap) repair guide? Sorry if this has been previously addressed but I could not find any additional information.

    Thanks and happy new year.

It may sound crazy but if you have dried Under wire bra's recently on of the wires may have got caught between the drum and the housing

Thanks for the idea. I pulled some of the panels on the back and the front of the unit and removed a lot of lint and restarted the dryer. Still has slight squeak but nothing like before.

It may be the drum bearing. Welcome to the Parts Store should have a diagram and the ability to order repair parts. Try lubercating the drum bearing.

Thanks for the ideas. I tried cleaning the unit as best I could have all the lint that I could reach but this was only a temporary fix. When I tested the unit after cleaning it was mostly quiet. This was done with an empty dryer.
When loaded, the squeal returned. I have noticed a rear bearing mentioned in several other posts. How can this be accessed? Is there a kit to repair this and is there some manual/diagram on how to find and replace it.
    Thanks for helping a newbie.
