You and a friend are having dinner at a restaurant. You order strong, hot tea with lemon, and your friend orders plain hot tea. When your drinks arrive, the waiter apologetically informs you that he has already put the lemon into one of the teapots. He realized his mistake, and took it out, but now he doesn't know which is which. You assure him that since you are a chemist, you know which is which. How do you make this determination?

In the USA they bring you "tea" that has been brewed at 160-175 degrees f. It all tastes like crud. So, even if it's a trick question, we wouldn't know.

What do you think the answer is? If you tell us what you think it is, we can try and point you in the right direction. Who knows, what you think might just be right. ;)
