DVD/VCR combo connection to old Sony TV and Satellite
I have an old SONY TV model KV-13TR24 and just received a Philipps DVP3340V. The back of my TV has audio in and video in. I have a DISH satellite. How do I connect all 3?

    Millie,

I need a little more information from you. On the back of the TV do you have a Yellow-Red-White receptacles arranged vertically? Just above that, do you see another receptacle that is round with about five holes in it?

The YRW are for composite video (Yellow) and Audio Red and White. The circle above the yellow is for S-video. I'm pretty sure you will not find an RBG (Red Blue Green) vertical arrangement since this TV is not a high def TV.

Dish should have set up the controller to TV connection. First would be to connect the disconnect the out put of the controller to the TV. Then connect the output of the controller box to the input of the DVR and the output of the DVR to the Input of the TV. Use the Composite connections (YRW). Set the TV to Video 1 and verify picture and sound.

You will not be able to record one show and watch another because you only have one input source and satellites do not tolerate splitters very well.
