    Kenmore washing machine does not spin, pump doesn't stop when empty
    Model #: 970-C41062-00
    Kenmore front load washing machine from late 2002 purchased in Canada
    Machine fills with water fine, will pump the water out fine - a little better I think after $1.50 come out of the pump intake - but it will not engage the spin any where in the cycle. It is a belt drive, the drum and motor turn freely.
    Is there a sensor somewhere? Or?

    Check the lid switch. If it is bad it will not spin

    How would I go about check the door switch? Short of replacing it - trial and error. I just tried jumping the wires that plug into it but that didn't change anything.

    Replaced the switch, Still have the problem... So we can rule out that idea. :s
