Trying to configure a dlink635router to a single dell laptop from the cd rom provided.Ok until it checks the internet connection and fails .asks me to contact to my isp who are useless
Any ideas out there please. It's a cable connection

Yes I am trying to set up wirelessly

Diagnosing a problem remotely, especially via bulletin board can be drawn out process. Often we will need more info to pinpoint the problem. If we ask questions it means we need the answers to those questions to help. I have never understood why someone will only answer some of the questions asked and not all of them. (vent over)

So I ask AGAIN. What OS on the laptop? Do you get any error messages when you try to go through the CD or connect? Also, who is your cable provider? Do you see the network at all? The answers to these questions may lead to more questions before we may be able to provide a solution. But you need to help us help you.
