When will flying cars be common place?

My guess never anytime in our future, air space is too controlled,

Road rage, today.. . Air rage, tomorrow.

Approximately another 37 years.

I suppose that it might also make a difference as to what you would define to be a car and how that car would be powered.

I don't think it's due to restricted air space.
The problem stems from how you get back down. You would still need a landing strip in nearly every parking lot.
