US-French dual citizenship for 3rd generation
Sooooo... my question is this. My grandfather on my mother's side was born outside of Pau, France back in the early 1920's. 1921 I think but I'm not sure. He came to san francisco with four of his brothers in his twenties and never went back to France in his life. I am wondering if it is possible for myself to obtain dual citizenship in the US and France or if I am too far removed from the relationship? I know there are quite a few questions posted on here dealing with similar situations, but mine is somewhat different, so if anyone has any info that would much appreciated. Thanks,
    Nick

So I made some phone calls and learned that in order for me to apply for french citizenship using this familial relationship, my mother would have had to have french citizenship as well, which she never got, so I cannot qualify based simply on french descent. Oh well...
