    Alimony in arrears
I am trying to help my mom get the alimony my step-dad owes her of over $8,000. My sisters and I are all tapped out on helping support here. He quit his last job so he didn't have to pay her. He is receiving his disability from the army. We believe he is working again, but he won't tell us or pay the court order. How do we find out where he works and not have to pay a fee or for a low fee?

What state does your Mom live in? In what state was the alimony award granted? What state does the step-father live in now? How long were they married?

File a motion for discovery with the court that issued the alimony order and ask that the current order be enforced.

Sorry. My Mother and my step-dad were married 31 years. He walked out on their anniversary. He and she both live in Florida. She doesn't have the money to pay another lawyer. He was arrested for not paying his alimony before. The judge told him he had better not go without paying his alimony again and the judge find out he has boughten another new truck. Which he has done again. They both live in Florida now and then

Married 31 years? How old is your Dad? How many years was she married to her husband while he was in the Army? These are the questions; she needs to get to her lawyer.
