    Garrison indoor timer
    My sister gave me her used Garrison indoor timer, model rct-100. I finally found out how to programe it but as soon I disconnect the unit from the power extension cord to install it behind the furniture, I'm losing all programmed informations. Does the 2 stored battery at the back has anyting to do with the holding memory? Or What are they for?

    Usually the batterys do hold settings for a brief period. Batterys defective or installed wrong?

    The two button batteries in the back are what keeps the time so that your programming does not change when power fails or when you disconnect the unit. Change the batteries (AG13 or LR44 cells: see this wikipedia page for battery sizes:
