    Dating a older guy
Well, I'm 14 and I'm dating a older guy. He's 18. And he's really sweet. And he loves me.I know he does.I can tell. Atfirst, I decided I couldn't date him because of the age difference, so I broke up with him. Many of his friends told me he wasn't doing so well. I would still keep in contact with him and talk to him,but he was still upset. After a few weeks of talking to him,he asked me out again, and I just couldn't say no, and now it's going great, and he even thinks I'm that one. The one he's going to marry. He tells me that all the times. Is what I'm doing right?Dating this guy? Is it OK that he's older then me?

Ps. He told me before we started going out that he didn't want to have sex till we married

What do your parents think about you dating an 18 year old at 14?

My daughter is 14 and I would NEVER allow her to date an 18 year old. At 18 he should be thinking about college and career choices, when most 14 year old are thinking about shopping at the mall.

If you are not having sex with him, please don't... Depending on where you live he could be breaking the law and it could land him in jail with the label of sex offender for the rest of his life.

Personally, no, I don't think it is okay... I'm sure you are going to disagree... but as a mother of 4 I would not allow my sons, at 18, (now 21 and 19) to date someone that young.

**EDIT** Oh, yeah, don't give us the "I'm mature for my age" stuff... we have heard it all before.

Sorry and I know you will not agree and will get mad at me, but at 14 every guy you date will appear to be the one, and all of them you will believe loves you deeply, that is the wonder of being 14 and just coming to understand the hormones and emotions we are having to start dealing with.

While 4 years is no propblem if you were18 or 19 and he was 22 but at 14 there can be all sorts of issues and no you do not need to be dating someone that old.

Yeah... no matter how mature you think you are... at 14, you're not that mature. Don't take offense to it. I'm 21. I still have plenty to learn.

At 18, the guy dating a 14 year old... is a bit... weird. Does his parents know? Do your parents know?

... IF he goes to college, he'll be the only freshmen in college dating a freshmen/sophomore in high school.

    ... yikes.

Ever since I turned 13 I always dated way older gys and they ALWAYS said I love you and you're the one! But it always turned out as a lie. I got mad every time someone said " your too young and he is too old." well now that I am 18 I still date older guys but I understand where my friends and family were coming from. He is an adult and sadly to sya it but you are still a child. He should be going to college or working an you are just starting high school. You both need to find someone your own age. You both have different interests.I used to always say that I was more mature for my age and in actual fact it was just because I had the body of an older girl. Please sweetie find someone your own age!!

If you cannot tell your parents, about this relationship, you should not be having it.
