No, don't have any tips, but would like to know how you are going about your ghost hunting and whereabouts. It is my understanding that special equipment is necessary so I imagine there would be quite a monetary outlay. Why do you want to do this, just for fun >) ?

I am new at ghosthunting, do you have any ideas or suggestions that would be helpful

Don't rely on orbs as proof of ghosts. The vast majority of time it's just the flash reflecting off dust, pollen, etc inside the plane of focus.

I've seen far too times where that is the entirety of their evidence. It's a normal and easily explanable photographic phenomenon.

If you're going to try and record EVPs, I'd suggest a digital recorder as the old tape recorders will pick up on their own motor noise and obscure things in the background.

Oh, and keep your wits about you and remain calm. I know it's easy to be startled if you do experience something but remember that's what you came for, to find something. :)


While I'm thinking about this more, be critical of what you do find. Don't be too quick to believe it's a ghost. Be sure to scrutinize everything you do encounter as you will often find there actually IS a natural explanation. I'm not saying ghosts don't exist, but just be leary of seeing them where they may not actually be.

Thank you for replying, I am doing this as a hobby. I have some simple things that I have bought but not to expensive. I learn as I go along and I am surprised as to how many other people out there who share the same interests.

So far I have mostly gone to cemeteries, where we use digital cameras, digital camcorder with night vision, digital recoder for evp.s. also walkie talkies, etc. I usually down load the photos on my sone ps3 and we look at our footage. Each time I learn something new and figure out what works and what doesn't.
