Anyone know the diagnostic codes for a goodman furnace?
Hi, I have an older model goodman furnace that powers up the vent fan and proceeds far enough in the sequence for the electric igniter to glow, but then never releases gas to complete ignition. I replaced the gas valve last year, so I am hoping it isn't this again. I am getting an error code on the panel that blinks once. My furnace does not list the meaning of the error codes: does anyone know what the codes for this brand are? If so, please tell them all to me so I can print a copy to tape up near the furnace for future reference.
    Thanks

If it goes as far as the hot surface ignitor glowing its going to be flame failure. Make sure the gas valve is on. If you have a volt meter check the two wires on top of the gas valve for 24v, about 30 seconds after the ignitor starts to glow it should get voltage and you should hear it click.

T-Top has a good answer. Take that a step further and "manually apply" 24 volts from the transformer to gas valve switch after igniter glows. This will tell you two things: that the gas valve is good if furnace fires up and that You have a control problem: wiring or control board or sensor.
