Well, I guess it depends on which country you live in.
I live in Australia and here if you are 16 or over, you can have sex with anyone at any age you like without them getting in any legal trouble.
However if you are under 16 and they are over 18 (and have sex) it is illegal in australia!
I dated an 18 year old when I was 15 and he did not get in any trouble. In Australia it is not a big issue atall.
The police don't go around asking how old the person is you are dating, they won't find out, and to them, it really isn't important.
