I have a 10 year old daughter and was never married to her mother... she is wanting to live with me and my wife of 8 years wile mom is still un married and has no other children while my little girl has a brother and sister at my home... I am only getting visitation every othere weekend and mom will not grant anything more while I feel if my daughter has more time she will not want to leave her mom what do I have to do to gain more time with her? And I am on a very tight budget for lawyer

At this point, getting more time with your daughter may be difficult. Your daughter can ask her mom repeatedly if she can see you more. You can have a non-confrontational talk with her mom too. Spring break would be a good time to plan for having her visit your family. You should be alternating her summer care, holidays and vacation time anyway.

What is best for your child? If that is foremost in your mind, your ideas will be good ones. I'd say that her younger years are best lived with you. She would benefit from spending more time with her siblings too.
