Orgasims is the same as havig sex, right?
Me and my girlfriend were having a debate on whether an orgasm is the same as having sex, she says it is not I say it is. We couldn't ask anyone as we don't know any gay couples. So which is it?

An orgasm can result from sex, but it is NOT the same as sex.

I moved your question to Teens, because Adult Sexuality is a forum for those 18+.

An orgasm is the good feeling you get from sexual interaction--"coming" if you want.

Sex is generally defined either as intercourse, or the foreplay involving sexual organs (penis, vagina, breasts, etc).

This forum is for adults only. Please do not post here if you are a minor. (Um Synnen,I t wasn't moved!)

An orgasm is the result of sexual activity. It can be reached by engaging in sexual activity with a partner or on your own. Sexual Activity here does not mean sexual intercourse, but any stimulation of certain areas of the body.

I say you are wrong and your girlfriend is right.

    Jackaroo,
Is there an adult in your life you would feel comfortable discussing this with? At your age and with your questions, I hope you're not actually having sex. It sounds like you have a lot to learn before you engage in such a risky activity.

No we'rent actually having sex. And no there isn't anyone I can talk to about this, as my parents are completely against gays. It was just a debate.

Well in a gay relationship... You normally talk to your parents about it but if I told them Im gay I would probably have to move out.

I would like to say thanks to you guys for making this a bit clearer for me.

    Jack,
Orgasims and sex relate to both men and women. You could talk to them without mentioning being gay or straight.
If you're gay, your body has the same response to sex as a straight person's does.

I still don't understand what being gay has to do with anything. An orgasm is the result of sexual activity. It doesn't matter whether they activity was on your own, with a partner of the same sex or with a partner of the opposite sex. You can discuss orgasms with your parents without discussing what type of partner is involved.
