I have worked for the last 22 months out of state, (I will be home for good in 2 months)but I get to come home frequently. My last trip home my wife was very distant but she told me everything was fine. When I got back to my work site she told me that she didn't love me anymore she felt nothing at all no spark nothing, and she wants a divorce. She refuses to go to any type of joint counseling or therapy when I get home she says it will not change the way she feels. So I guess technically because I am not at home we are separated, she did tell me that once I do get home or if I come home early then she will leave. My question is, what am I required to pay (we have 2 kids 8yo and 3yo) as far as support and/or alimony? With no judgement or filing what does the state of MA require of me?

Without any judgement or filing you legally aren't required to pay anything. And you won't be until the court issues an order to pay. There are those who would argue that you have a moral obligation to support your wife and kids and strictly speaking that's true. But you wife has a moral obligation also, to be faithful to the marriage vows she took with you. As she seems to have no compelling reason to do so (not "feeling the spark" doesn't cut it in my book, sorry), if leaving would jeopardize the kids' livelihoods, that is morally wrong also. Of course, all of this means nothing in a court of law and it'll be up to the judge to sort everything out and determine alimony, child support, etc.

If you do not support your children for 30 days in Georgia, she can request a magistrate for an arrest warrant for abandonment of a child; this is a criminal action, not civil. You need the assistance of a matrimonial lawyer as soon as possible; this will help you not to embarrass yourself and will certainly impress upon your wife that you have a set and know how to use them.
