My little brother's girlfriend is pregnant. Her parents HATE my brother. They told her that she either gets an abortion or she moves back to Argentina with her relatives. To me that sounds like a bunch of bull . They won't just kick her out. Or even let her just live with us. Her dad used to beat her and we are afraid of him harming the baby. What can we do to get her to be able to live with us. Or have her like ''divorce'' her parents. She is 17..

Unfortunately your brother does not have any rights until the baby is born. Also, unfortunately, since she is a minor, she has to listen to her parents. HOWEVER, this does not mean that she must have an abortion. That is her decision and her decision ONLY!!

If her parents are abusive, this can be reported to Child Protective Services. Do you know of this abuse first hand? Or just as she relates it to you?

What kind of legal action do you propose to take? Simple allegations of abuse will be checked into, but that's about all there is.

Seriously report it to social services. They can protect her a lot better than you or your brother can right now.

It can be a matter of where you live, since for example while I don't mention it much, in Gerogia, if you are 17 you can move out from your parents and they can't stop you. So she calls social services and gets in the system till she is 18.

I don't know about your state but in mine at 17 she could legally live where she wants to and they can't do anything about it. You would need to check with the state law where she is a current resident.

Wow this story sounds so much like me it scares me!! I'm 17 and pregnant I had the same problem my dad does not like my b.f at all yah she can live with you guys she's passed 16!! I moved out when I was 16 now I am 17 and pregnant!! And I am going threw the same listen its tottally up to her what she's wants to do!! if she wants this baby her family doesn't have the position to tell her to have an abortion if she wants to move into your familys then she is aloud!!

I tried to get ahold of her today but she isn't answering. I hope it's not too late.. :( U will let you guys know right when I can talk to her. Her parents won't let her talk to anyone from my family. They are convincing her that if she has the baby she will die.. they are so stupid.. so many people have kids at a young age.. I don't understand.. children are not a punishment, they are a blessing. Yeah it may be at the wrong time but there are so many people to help them. My mom even offered to pay everything. Hospital bills and everything. They are so one sided! UGH HOW FRUSTRATING!
