Hi my grand theft auto game for ps2 was left in the sun so I got it cleaned now it doesn't work it says game reads error then it says put in a playstation or playstation 2 game how do I fix it? :confused:

If the PS2 is still playing other games then the problem is the game disc, it's probably warped or otherwise damged. It sounds like the disc is basically destroyed, there is nothing you can do.

Stop putting the damaged disc into the ps2 or you will just end up breaking the system and make iot worse, buy a new game disc.

Yea I think what Lowtax4eva said is correct, the game disc sound like it's damaged if it keep having the same error, but you could see if the gold pins or points are dirty and clean them.

As Low said, if other games work, it's the GTA games that doesn't work.

Well you can try to get alcohol and take a Q-tip and swab the alcohol on
And wipe it off with a piece of TP.

Hey there, I completely agree with Lowtax4eva. If it has been left in the sun for sometime it would have probably becoming seriously damaged. As you have already tried to clean it and it does not work I do not think you will be able to fix it. I would recommend you go out and buy it again.

How long have you had the ps2 because my stop working after 5 years

It is broken just replace it. But first try it in another ps or ps2 game system to see if it is the station.
