I color my hair at home and the ends have gotten too dark, what can I do to lighten it some?

Hair color will fade a little each time you shampoo your hair. Try use a liquid dish detergent on the ends of your hair to accelerate the fading process. If it doesn't work, mix your selected hair color with a 20-volume peroxide developer in equal parts and apply to the ends. This should lift the color a couple shades.
