    Kitten's nures for how long?
That's it.How long does a newborn kitten nures for,and how long before it can go to a new home?My sister wants to give me the pick of the litter from hers.I have always wanted one.Now I am 23 have studied cats since I was 9,and now my beloved sister is having kittens and giving me one.<how sweet> So how long before my new baby can come home with me?

I would keep the mother and kittens together as long as 8-10 weeks. The longer they are with her and the more they are handled by loving people, the more socially well-adjusted the kittens will be.

    I agree with wondergirl...
I have had cats my whole life.
Let them stay with their mother until she pushes them away.
    Mamma knows best.

Also please consider spay/neuter. We have an awful problem with cat over population that results in thousands of cat deaths each year.
