I am 17 weeks pregnant with my third child and I have only felt the baby move a couple times is this normal with my two boys they where always moving

Every baby is different. At 17 weeks I didn't feel my baby moving at all. In fact at my 20 week ultrasound she was jumping all over the place and I didn't feel a thing. I am 29 weeks and am just now starting to feel stronger movements. It seemed like forever before I felt anything but every time I went to the doctor the heartbeat was strong and everything looked good. I wouldn't worry about not feeling movements just yet, however, if you are concerned you can always call your doctor.

The placenta might be in the way. I had that happen with the twins. I didn't feel them move nearly as much as my other single births. Ask your dr next time you go in about it. And you can always call and ask about it.
