Hi, I am trying to download files into my MP3 Player and it says it can not because the files are right protected. Can you help me out? How do I unprotect the files? Please let me know if you need more information. Thanks, Patricia

Sounds like your MP3 player is write protected. Check the manual, there may be a switch to unlock it.
You're downloading Copyright Protected files, I don't think they can be changed. Download files that aren't Copyright Protected. This is a good solution and it's legal.
If you are using a P2P software, I suggest to use Ares Lite P2P Software. It's free if you download the right one.
There are very few legal music files on the P2P network please don't suggest that. Non-DRM music files can be had at many sites including the independent artists' site.Quote:

It is only pirating if you are downloading Copyright Protected content.Quote:

Correct and that's 98% of the P2P's content.Quote:

98% of the P2P's content? Every song that I have downloaded from Ares (P2P Sharing Software) is unprotected content. I have searched but not found any protected content so far.Quote:

What does it actually mean then?Quote:

The songs you have downloaded are rips from CDs that people are sharing.
Okay. It's good that I convert my CDA files to MP3 files from my music albums then.Quote:

Generally, if its commercial music that is for sale, then its copyright protected. C'mon, do you seriously believe that its OK to download Led Zeppelin's (for example) music for free?Quote:
