Want to hear a story?

I am 24 years old and I believe I have led an interesting life. I have absolutely no writing skills- I was lucky to make it past 10th grade english in high school. I got some stories bouncing around in my head though and I would like to get some of them out of there and was wondering if anyone would like to hear a little about some of my life experiences. Nothing fancy, I grew up in the same little northern californa county that my parents did,
I have never traveled the world and don't ever plan to- just a few small snips of my life here guys- any takers? Like I said, I have no formal training as a writer whatsoever and anything I do write and post here will be written right there off the top of my head as I sit remembering with a keyboard in my lap--I tend to ramble and sometimes forgetful, but I have a lot of stuff to tell and would like to share it with anyone who is interested. Feedback is welcome! Proofreading however isn't needed. I really have never written any of this down before and just want to give it a shot in the dark. I really don't even know where to start and at the same time want to get it all out at once.Like the smell of blackberries on the air are a big part of my life and will be there every time I talk about summertime or my grandmother espcially my grandma-but there is more to it than that, and I hope to be able to get what I want to say, said.

Starting with the first word leads to the second, just try and let it flow. Don't worry about perfection.

Ever ride in the back of a truck? Its illigal now, in California you know. Riding in the back of a truck on a hot day in northern CA can be a lot of different things: dry, very hot--hot enough to give you a good scald if you let your untouched-by-the-sun underarm hit one very touched by the sun tailgate, and so much anticipation you can't stand it. Riding in the back of a truck means loading up and heading twoards the lake by golly, and on a day where you want to get yourself out there before the thermometer hit 110'F the back of Old Betsy is where you want to be. Mom and Dad up front, pack the two kids in back and a full ice chest somewhere in between and you are so ready to go.There is exitement, at going fast around those curves in the backroads, and being one of those kids you would feel like royalty.-----(Well it is a start and a lot of my life revolved around the back of a truck-my moms "57 chevy stepside you will definitely hear more about it-and the going to the lake part too. I was raised in a pretty rual area, right on Whiskytown Lake.It is late though and I will definitely get back on this tomorrow. Love all those who put up with my ravings.:)

Nothing wrong with just simply expressing yourself on the Writing topic area. Although, it's possible that others might not have a clue as to what you are doing. And, at the same time, others may know exactly what you are up to. Please see the following link if in doubt about that. https://www.askmehelpdesk.com/writin...re-157126.html For those that don't have a clue, it would be helpful if they would do a little reseach and questioning as to why you are writing what you are.

In my opinion, writing is an art, no matter how good it is in the eyes of the beholder. What we say and write is a matter of and also act of creating.

Please just express away!

I once road in the rumble sear of, I think it was an Essex. I was very young at the time. The experience did leave an impression on me though.

It would be helpful to know if seradee would like to write things that might be published in order to entertain the thoughts of publishing at all.

Excon is too kind. I am not an editor for a publisher, but I do know English grammar, etc. and have been published (so I am very familiar with that world). Excon is a terrific writer and certainly can advise you too.
