    Paternity Doubts
My boyfriend and I split up in December of last year and got back together mid January this year. Problem is, I found out this April I was pregnant (the doc said around 10 weeks) and while me and my guy were separated I ended up fooling around with my ex. Now the doc gave me a due date of Dec. 2 and the last time I slept with my ex was Jan. 1st. I actually ended up having my son on Nov. 27th. Question, is there any possibility in the world my ex fathered my son? Or, should I just kick myself for allow there to be such a close call?

Doesn't sound like your ex to me, but I'm not a doc. It seem more likely that your doc's due date was incorrect.

    Paternity Part 2!
Any other takers? Guess my question is. Is it possible to conceive on Jan.1 and deliver on Nov27th? Can anyone do the math? Pregnant for almost 11 months?

No, it is not possible. You see the placenta is only viable for 40 up to 42 weeks. A LMP date of Jan 1, gives you a EDC of October 8.

How you do this is take the LMP, subtract 3 months, add 7 days, add one year. This gives you your due date.

After 42 weeks the placenta begins to deteriorate and cannot sustain life.

According to Nagele's Rule, you most likely got pregnant on or around February 20, 2007.
