    Replacing shower faucet after retiling
I recently retiled my shower stall. I originally was going to replace my Delta faucet with the new external hardware and not replace the cartridge that would require cutting the copper pipe apart. I found out that my style was too old for the new faucets. ( the screws for the cover plates are in different locations.) I decided to just reuse the old faucet. After finishing up the tiling project and replacing the old faucet cover... it doesn't snug up against the tile. Evidently my wall is not as thick as the old wall. Help! How do I fix this with out tearing out the tile to replace the whole faucet? Hope you have a answer for me on this that I like!

    Thanks

If the screws bottom out before the chrome cover plate tightens up simply get shorter screws in their place. Good luck, Tom
