    Shady dealings!
My husbands old boss who he was friends with, had a broke down car (engine blown) he asked my husband to work on it and he would pay him, he had it towed to our house about 9 months ago and it sat for weeks waiting on him to make up his mind if he wanted to buy a new engine for it. He decided to offer it to my husband for 450.00 my husband said yes and paid him 150.00 and said he would make payments, he agreed. My husband bought a new engine for it for 450.00 but did not install it yet. He later decided to sell the car to a neighbor "friend" because he wrecked his car and needed the car for parts, knowing there was no engine in it, he said he would think about it, my husband offered to sell it to him for 700.00 (the car is worth 1200.00) he was going to give the remaining 350.00 to his friend to pay it off and sell the new engine.
The neighbor "friend" decided to go behind my husbands back and buy the car from my husbands "friend" he got the title and a bill of sale and came to our house demanding he turn over the car saying the guy told him the engine came with it when it did not! Needless to say the old friend is no longer a friend and the neighbor is an , we have a receipt for the engine he is not getting it. My husband unfortunately since the guy was a friend did not get a receipt for the money he paid for the car so what action can he take against either of these 2 men? I am furious!!

Come to find out now that the neighbor entered our garage and stole the quarter panels to the car and admitted that, but we were told from the "friend" my husband was accused of stealing 2 tools from the neighbor, my husband has never even been to this mans house, my husband has his own tools of the same kind he described, we checked to make sure he did not steal them from US and found he did not, but a very old tool that was my husbands grandfathers is missing, it had his grandfathers name on it. We can't prove he took it but he did admit to stealing the parts to the car like he was justified!
