I have court on Jan. 7 for paternity and support. The man that the court is going against I am 100 % positive is not the father of my 9 month old child. He has not wanted anything to do with him at all. How do I go to the court and tell them that I want to drop the case? What I want to do is sign over custody to my parents who will be able to pay for insurance and such for him. I am so confused. I am pregnant again and all this stress has put me in the hospital twice already. Please help!

This man... did you have sex with him anytime near when you conceived? I'm only asking because to be 100% sure he's NOT the father, you should have a DNA test done between him and the baby. Have your parents already agreed to adopt your child?

Talk to your lawyer about it BEFORE you go to court. Wanting to give the custody to your parents is showing your responsibility though. For the child your pregnant with right now, consider adoption. I know it's a tough thing to think about but I was adopted and I know the life I'm living right now is sooo much better than the one I would be living. Follow your heart.

You should ask to talk to the judge and a lawyer who is helping you sign over custody to your parents. You should do this as soon as you can. I am not sure why a paternity test has not already been done to determine the father if it is going into court. The court will need that evidence if they are going after the guy... if he was wise, he would also want proof... You should involve your parents in the talk with the judge as well.
