Our Maytag refrigerator is at a temp of 50 degrees and will not get cooler regardless of the setting, the freezer seems to be working OK. Any suggestions?

There is a strong chance that something is blocking the air flow from the frezzer to the frig. It could be iced up and a long defrost would fix that but check to insure there is nothing blocking the vent in the back, like a big bag of lettuce that my wife tossed into ours. If it turns out to be ice you may have another issue brewing like a bad defroster.
