Can a person own a land after possessing it for perticular no. of years
If a person X with his family is leaving in house with the property for particular no. of years(13 years), house and property is on the name of his expired father ,and all other brothers and sisters of the person X are not looking back at the land/property as they have been migrated to city, and may or may not be interested in property. Can that person X claim to own that house & land what is the procedure in India,
Land Is In Goa(India) And Father Has Left No will.

In order for people to answer your question better, it would help to know if the father had a will and what was stated in the will as far as dividing things up for the heirs. Also, where is the house land in question located? I ask this because there may be laws in place that pertain to this type of thing depending on the location.

I do not know anything about laws in India, but if the father owned the land, the laws may pass the land to the children rather than the father's brothers and sisters.
