    Mysterious pup
I adopted this puppy from the pound but they didn't know what type he was and I'm having trouble figuring it out too. I was wondering if there is anyway I could find out how big he is going to get. He's almost 3 months and weighs about 10-13 lbs. Any ideas?

I would guess 25-35 pounds. It is hard to say because dogs are very inconsistent about when they stop growing. Post a picture if you can. For more info, see https://www.askmehelpdesk.com/dogs/i...tml#post251802

My dog was about 8 lbs when she was around 3 months old. She grew up to be 75 lbs. She is now 11 years old. It took her several years to reach her full growth. She looks like she could be Doberman mix (greyhound ancestory).

It is unusual for a dog to grow much after a year old. However, a few do. Are you keeping her lean? See LongLiveYourDog.com - Life Span Study - Rate Your Dog

My dog is lean. I have different size clothes that I bought for her over the years. I realize that it is believed that dogs reach their full growth at around 12 months; however, that was not the case with my dog. She is 11 1/2 years old and is in excellent health and is no where near being fat.

As I said, dogs are very inconsistent about how much more they grow.

I I'm school to be a vet and it is almost impossible to know how large a dog is going to be!
