I hadn't hear this. I heard midnight. At 3am, most people are asleep and the energy levels of all those people dealing with the stress of the day is turned off. So, 3am makes sense. When the night is psychically quiet, the spirits are easier to connect with.

I've never heard that. However for Catholics, three o'clock am or pm is the hour of mercy:

1572 I I remind you my daughter that as often as you hear the clock strike the third hour, immerse yourself completely in My Mercy, adoring and glorifying it; invoke its omnipotence for the whole world, and particularly for poor sinners; for at that moment Mercy was opened wide for every soul.
Divine Mercy hour - Three o'clock

    Sincerely,

    De Maria

My fiancé, who has recently passed, makes her presence known around 3 a.m. That seems to be when she is most active.
