    Smell in Heating system
    Hello,

When we take a shower, if the heat kicks on it has a sewer smell and the whole house stinks. Also the water in the tub builds up just a little bit and leaves white stuff when it drains. We have a cess pool.

You probably have a vent stack that is plugging up but you need to inspect the drain to the cess pool to make sure it is not backing up the main drain line. This is a cess pool and not a septic tank, right?

Yes it's a cesspool. I figured I need a good pumping. I have been here 3 years and it's never been pumped. What do I look for when I inspect this line?

I will have to admit I have never worked on a cess pool and my septic is limited too. The pool must not be full.
