I work with quite a few people women who are penticostal. They don't cut their hair or wear pants. I know it has to do with their religon, and something that is written in the bible, but what is the purpose or meaning behind this?

Pentecostals believe there should be a clear difference between men and women, according to Deuteronomy 22:5. For instance, women can't cut their hair short like a man's and men cannot pierce an ear and wear an earring. They believe God created a difference between a man and a woman, and those differences should be kept even in clothing and in hair style.
