    Can I be pregnant?
Hey folks! I am new on this site and trying to figure out if I am having pregnancy signs or PMS.

Here's what went down: on dec 1 me and my boy friend had sex. Then I got my period (it was a little late) on the 5th. Then I had sex on the 9th. Now my next period is due on Jan 1st. When I started feeling different I was like 17 days from my next period. I am feeling some fatigue, headache, lower abdonmial pain, anxiousness, and some lower back (very rare). Now of course it is possible that I am pregnant, BUT we did use a condom which is always good (but not 100% safe). I think I may be over thinking this. Maybe I am coming down with something or I am feelings pre period pains! Can someone, anyone let me know what they think about my situation. I just feel different.

    Thanks for any input!

Your right, nothing is 100% safe (but abstanance of course), but the symptoms of PSM are very similar. Chances is your not pregnant, but if your period doesn't came take a pregnancy test, that's the only way to know for sure.

While it is possible you could be pregnant (sex with or without protection can equal pregnancy), I doubt that you are.

The reason I say this is because of the specific dates you have given.

Most women don't ovulate until mid cycle. So if your period started on the 5th you most likely wouldn't have been ovulating on the 9th when you had sex.

What I am guessing is happening... the symptoms you started having on the 17th was most likely caused by ovulation. You can have abdominal pain, back pain, etc. with ovulation.
If you had in fact fallen pregnant from these last 2 encounters it would probably be too early to have pregnancy symptoms anyway.

So if the last time you had sex was on the 9th I would say it is unlikely that you are pregnant.

    BUT

Keep in mind, in a fertile environment, sperm can live in the body for up to 5 days. So you really just have to wait and see if you get your period next month.

Unfortunately it's just a waiting game now.
