Honda Civic-98 No crank, failed K-test
    Hello All,

I have a 5door honda civic MB3. The car will not crank.

    Battery is OK
    1 All fuses ok:
To the ignition switch is fine.
3 Starter works fine if I bypass everything from the ignition switch to the starter.
For the relay clicks twice, the CEL goes out. (the relay is also resoldered)
5 No DTC (the CEL stays on constantly when I jump that little cable)
6 The fuel pump runs for a short while when I turn ignition to ON
7 Nothing more happens when I turn to START

The K-test gave ca ,02 V between power and earth on the MAP sensor.

My question is this, why is my car not cranking?
I understand that the lack of fire could be attributed to the ECM, but why will it not even crank?

Not being native speaker, I hope the above is still understandable.

Bottom line: can I ,with the information I have, conclude that I have a faulty ECM?

Looking forward to any input that will shed light on this.

Shift lever needs to be in neutral , and neutral switch needs to be working, You could have a bad starter, Hooking up a test light or meter to starter connection, will determine if it is wiring before starter or not. Ignition switch could be at fault.
Do you have an alarm system?

    I do have an alarm.

It's a manual transmission, clutch pedal has been both up and down.
Starter motor turns if I give the motor a signal from the +.
No connectivity between starter motor and ignition switch though.
The ignition switch works, checked with multimeter.

Some Alarm systems disconnect starter. Wire from Ig to Starter is cut and spliced into alarm, connections or alarm system may be bad. Look under dash for splices, especially
Around steering column. The start wire from Ignition is the wire to trace.

I'll do that (I'm not sure if the alarm has that functionality, but your guess is unfortunately better than mine )

    Keep your fingers crossed.

Now I have checked and the alarm is just an alarm. It does not cut the power either to ignition or to starter motor.

I did however observe that the green key sign kept blinking when the key was in the ON position.

    Any further ideas?
