I have had very painful swollen breast, this can often happen before my period and go away as soon as my period starts, I had fairly heavy bleeding for 2 days and now 5 days later my breats are even more painful... could I be pregnant having bled so much for 2 days ?

Being pregnant is possible, but not llikely. Hormones affecting breast swelling and tenderness are both pregnancy and DMS related. I call it DMS, during menstrual period. That seems to be when the symptoms are worst for me.

What you eat and drink can affect your breasts too. Getting lots of salt can make your body retain water. And while you are having a lot of estrogen in your system, your breasts can swell and really hurt. I'd say, drink more water. Eat salad and fruit, it's full of water. It may seem like water is the problem, but it will dilute extra salt and help your body get rid of it.
