I just found out Im about 4 weeks pregnant and 2 weeks ago I had a decadron shot, IS this going to effect my pregnancy?

Hun, what are you taking the Decadron for?

I went to the doctor because I was sick with sinus or cold and that is what he gave me.. I had no idea I was pregnant. I just wondered now if it will hurt me in any way?

Decadron (Dexamethasone) is a corticosteriod which is used to decrease inflammation in such conditions as allergies. While it is considered a pregnancy (C) class, many doctors rely on the risks vs the benefits. The risks may be low and the benefits to you high. If your doctor knew you were pregnant, there should be no problem.

The doctor did not know I was pregnant, I did not know I was pregnant either. That is why I am concerned about the decadron shot.
