When installing a saddle valve should you pierce the water line in front or behind the water shut off?
Always provide yourself with a way to shut off the water if something goes wrong. At our company we always put the saddle valve after the last gate or ball valve. Good luckQuote:

I agree with doug.. I hate them and will not use them... but to answer your question put it after the stop that way you can shut the water off inside if there is a problem
