    I'm pregnant!
I am 17 years old I work but I only make 6.50 an hour and I just fount out I was pregnant. I would like to find some places that I could go through to help me financially and places that will help give me things I need cause I don't think I am stable enough to take care of a baby with the little income I have. I don't wantto get an abortion and I would like to keep it can you please help. I would also like to know if anyone knows of any day care programs you can go through that are cheaper and maybe even free if you don't have the money

Talk to your friends and family, there's no system set aside to give things and money to expecting mothers who aren't able to be financially stable.

    Britney,
I know you may be going through a tough situation right now. Be strong. Check out your local housing authority or apply for Section 8. You can usually find a place to stay for very little rent a month... but you probably have to be 18, so this may be a problem. Be sure to go to the county health dept. and apply for WIC and Medicaid so you can start seeing a doctor. Please get prenatal care... this is very important for your baby's health!! What about the father? Is he in the picture? If so, demand some help from him because you didn't get in this situation all by yourself. I agree with Charlotte, ask your friends and family... maybe they can help you... definitely talk to the father! Good luck!

Either way, prenatal care you can get free at a health clinic, do involve the father, and try to get help from friends and family and keep your head up, be brave.

You can also find local charities that are dedicated to helping single/young mothers. Often, religious organizations offer help in the form of food or clothing.
Single Mother Resources - Help for Single Mother, Scholarship information, Grants for Single Mothers, and Debt Consolidation.
