Trying to break a housing lease with a university
I entered into a lease with a university under the impression that I could get out of the lease for semester 2. I was left under the impression that this would be a possibility for me because I will be a part-time student for semester 2. In the license/agreement, the eligibility states:

"Part-time students who desire to reside in University residence facilities, or to continue in residence after becoming part-time students, may be allowed at the discretion of the University to reside in University residence facilities."

They are not letting me break the lease. Should I get a hold of lawyer?

What is in the lease, and even your clause says it is up to the university, their discretion, so even your clause still says they have the right to decide

But you need to look at the exact lease papers, not what you believed it was suppose to say but exactly what it does say.
